Lack of power and shower running when turned off

Hi, the shower seems to have a lack of power when running and when turned off the heater sometimes sticks on and sounds a bit like a kettle boiling. Any ideas?

Turn the shower temperature control from fully cold to fully hot. When you do this slowly there should be a gradual change in temperature and flow. At fully hot you should have not much more than a dribble coming from the hose, and on fully cold you should have a good strong flow. If you do not have this difference, or the flow or temperature is erratic,  then you may have a faulty flow/stabilizer valve.
If when it is switched off you hear it continuing to heat (Noise like a kettle starting to boil) this will mean that there is a switch or a relay that is stuck in the on position, this is keeping an element energised
