This question is regarding Triton Combi HP - Shower Spares

triton combi hp.....temp control

I have a Triton Combi HP shower which will not get hot enough. The temperature is controllable and steady up to a certain point, but will not get hotter than that. Hot water supply to bath and hand basin, off same feed, is nice and hot.

Considering new walk in shower in the future and do not want to spend too much on this one at the moment. Any cheap ideas. Would a controllable valve in the cold supply under the bath work to reduce cold flow?

First check that the head and hose are clear and if so then make sure that it is indeed a cartridge/ shower fault.

To check whether you have a boiler or shower fault.

Turn the shower on as usual, try and get a hold of the pipe going tothe shower, if you can’t get to the pipe at the shower you may be able to get toit as it leaves the boiler.

What ever the temperature is on/in this pipe, the shower can neverget any hotter than that (So if the temperature is cool then something then atthe boiler is not allowing the water to heat up enough)

The other fault is wide variations in thetemperature of the water leaving the boiler.

A thermostatic shower valve should be able to even out smallvariations in temperature however if you have large variations then you have aboiler fault.
