Triton HP Combi - temperature control

When switching on the shower tonight, the middle temperature control dial of my Triton Combi HP fell out (see pic1) I can't see a way to fit this back in. I think perhaps the little plastic bit that the screw fits into is meant to be one solid piece that fits in to the central part of the shower knob (the valve catridge?). i.e. it looks like it has sheared off (pic 2 and pic2b) from the central part fixed to the wall (pic3). I am trying to figure out what I need to fix this. I can still turn the shower on and off but as I can't fix the temp dial back in place I can't control the temperature. The shower was fitted new about 7.5 years ago.
