re -above - the shower keeps dripping when turned off. What spare part needs re-placing please

may solve the drip as this shuts of the water.

We have water leaking down the shower so we called out a plumber who has capped it off. He said its the valve would this be the slide valve no 5 on your diagram? If so how much is this valve and would we need any other part? This shower is only 2 yrs old how long would the valve normally last as our other shower had been installed over 10yrs?
