Dominate thermostats mixer shower

When showering recently we have noticed the water to be very cool even on max temperature. If we run the cold water tap in adjacent basin the temperature of the shower water improves considerably. Can you tell me which part is faulty and needs replacing.

Turn the shower temperature control from fully cold to fully hot. When you do this slowly there should be a gradual change in temperature and flow. At fully hot you should have not much more than a dribble coming from the hose, and on fully cold you should have a good strong flow. If you do not have this difference, or the flow or temperature is erratic, then you may have a faulty flow/stabilizer valve.
