Remove cartridge

How do you remove the old cartridge after removing the old screws ?.As I can not pull the old one out.

There two small cuts in the brass body casing that (you maydepending on how the valve was fitted) you can slip a pair of screwdrivers intoto lever the body forward.

 

In theory they should just lever / pull forward If you canget some boiling water on the brass body this can help patience and shougglingshould eventually do it!

 

However we in the past we have had one of the inlet checkvalves become faulty and the parts go into the cartridge  and jamb it from coming out  and to  take the inside of the valve apart and cut theplastic body of the cartridge apart with a wood chisel!

However this is VERY unusual
