control and temperature switches

the 2 switches above are tight to turn, what could be problem.. do I need to replace

I can understand the temp control tightening up and this would mean replacing the stabiliser valve

As far as the power selector is concerned I can’t think of anything that would cause it to tighten  my only thought would be the cams and the rest of the mechanism behind the switch a grease with silicon grease.
