Overheating wire?

Hi. I have a problem with the wire that comes from the second Heater to the item no. 11 outlet pipe. This wire when switching the second heater setting on the dial overheats to the point of melting the end connector. can you tell me why this might be?

 It is just a poor connection on tothe TCO and the connecters over heat
