Cleaning shower head

How do I clean and descale the shower head? I've tried twist the shower head but can't get it off?

Some heads can be opened with a special tool,

others just unscrew, it will depend on the type that you have.

Soaking in and spraying a descaler into may help if you can not get it apart.
