Cold water leaking from bottom of case.

Cold water is leaking from around the outlet pipe and dripping out of the bottom of the case. There does not appear to be a drop in pressure, with no difference in heat or flow from the shower head. In fact if you face away from the shower unit, you would not think anything was wrong. Sometimes the shower will work perfectly with no leak, but when switched off, and then switched on again, it starts to leak around the pipe.

I think the Pressure Relief Device (PRD) may have activated.

It’s a safety device on the bottom of the heating tank.

It is fairly easy to replace however there is usually something that causes it to activate, often a kink in the hose or the shower head is blocked, so check this before fitting the new PRD.
