This question is regarding Triton LP Valve Cartridge Including Seals and Knob (no brass housing)

LP mixer shower

I have just recently fitted a triton LP thermostatic mixer shower cartridge, recommended by the manufacture 83304940, { cartridge only not brass body}. The water is hot/cold/hot/cold, regardless on which setting? The plumbing system is an open vented tank and cylinder with y-plan heating. Have i fitted the correct cartridge?

In all honesty this is one of these rock solid cartridges we never have problems with!

So the things to check the valve should be fitted hot to the left and cold to the right and the cartridge should be the same just check the valve because I have seen them fitted upside down!

Also can you get a hold of the hot pipe as it enters the shower the shower won't get any hotter than this pipe.

My only other thought is although you have low pressure hot could the cold be connected to the water mains which would mean that the cold would be more powerful than the hot.
