This question is regarding Triton LP Valve Cartridge with Brass Housing - 83304940

hi, i could not remove the cartridge, so i just removed the knob and spring but the brass collet and spring fell out. i am not sure whether the brass collet goes into the brass housing or into the thermostat. i know which way the spring goes as it is tapered and can only go one way.please help me

The cartridge is sealed unit if it comes to bits it may beimpossible to reassemble.

On occasions the cartridge can be difficult to remove fromthe body, I have in the past had to remove these cartridges by snapping of theplastic a bit at a time.
