Triton Opal 3 kettling?

Dear Shower Doctor, We have a Triton Opal 3, which is about one year old and apparently functions correctly excepting for one fault. When the shower heats up, it starts to make a repetitive 'knocking' sound, the frequency of which rises with the temperature. It sounds to me as though the plastic heating chamber is 'kettling', with bubbles of steam causing the knocking. The temperature of the outlet is not very high and this has had to be compensated for by progressively turning the temperature control knob more clockwise as the weather has become colder. The knocking can be eliminated by turning the temperature control anti-clockwise but the water then becomes tepid and too cold to give a comfortable shower. Please advise me what to check. Best regards, Rennie

Is the shower connected to the water mains and if it is do you have at least 1bar pressure in the mains?

The other things to check is that

1 That the main valve coming into your house is fully open.

2 Then check that the valve on the line to the shower is fully open.
