Dripping shower head

Fitted fixing kit to shower , temperature not as hot as before???.
Asked 6 years ago by Keith
There is nothing in this kit or indeed the valve that allows you to adjust the temperature, it relies on the temperature of the water coming from the boiler and the water pressure to adjust the temperature.

So my first thought is check the filters as you can see they are very fine turning the water on and off may have disturbed any debris in the pipe work and this could be caught in the filter.

The other thought is the boiler.

Regarding the cool running, see if you can get hold of the hot supply pipe before it enters the shower or perhaps as it leaves the boiler.

If when holding this pipe the temperature fluctuates or goes cool, then the problem is not with the shower but more likely with the boiler, as the shower can only deliver the temperature that the boiler sends to it.

Disregard the temperature at the taps as they have a different flow rate.
