Water Coming Out Of Overflow Pipe

I had a shower half an hour ago, and all worked well. The 'good lady' had then started to wash down the shower cubicle, as she does regularly, prior to her using the shower, with the use of just cold water through the shower head. After a couple of minutes the water started jetting out of the overflow pipe it seems, with some flow still through the showerhead.

The water now comes out of the overflow pipe whether hot or cold water is selected, and some water still comes out of the shower head. Any ideas please?

Ithink the Pressure Relief Device (PRD) has blown.

It’sa safety device on the bottom of the heating tank.

Itis fairly easy to replace however there is usually something that causes it toblow, oftena kink in the hose or the showerhead is blocked, so check this before fittingthe new PRD.
