Triton Pressure Relief Device (PRD) - 82800450
This Pressure Relief Device (82800450) is a new replacement part which will fit into a range of Triton showers which are listed at the bottom of this page.
A Pressure Relief Device (PRD) is a safety feature installed in Electric Showers. If superheated water fails to escape the heating tank through the shower head, the PRD will blow, thereby allowing the water to escape before it causes explosive damage to the heating tank.

Important Information
Before fitting the new PRD outlet pipe please check the possibilities below so it doesn’t happen again after fitting the new device.
The reason your PRD outlet pipe has blown is probably down to one of the following below:
- A burst of pressure or rise in the cold water mains supply
- Your shower head or hose has been changed to a different supplier
- Your shower head is blocked and needs cleaning
- Your hose has collapsed internally or was kinked during showering
