prd woes

I had leak from the unit so changed the Prd today, the ball had blown out the old one( although the shower is only 3 months old) ran the cold water as instructed, didn't leak as soon as the shower head was put back on it's started to leak. I'm at a loss, the O ring is secure etc...any ideas?

Thank you

PLEASE NOTE: The reason your PRD outlet pipe has blown is probably down to one of the following below:
  • A burst of pressure or rise in the cold water mains supply.
  • Your shower head or hose has been changed to a different supplier.
  • Your shower head is blocked and needs cleaned.
  • Your hose has collapsed internally or was kinked during showering.
Before fitting the new PRD outlet pipe please check the possibilities above so it doesn’t happen again on fitting the new device.
