pressure relief fir Triton Miami

have just notice my shower is running water from what I identify as the pressure relief device at the bottom of the unit. does this mean that it needs replacing

Yes this will just need replaced usually but not always, something causes it to activate, such as a blocked shower head or a kinked hose.
