replacing the prd

My problem started a few hours after having a shower i was woken by a noisey water system when i checked the bathroom water was coming out of my shower head i had to switch shower off at the mains to stop this,the next morning i switched the shower on again and it seems to be working fine apart from water leaking from the bottom of the unit,iv read up on this on your site and it surgests the prd was activated and needs replaceing i have ordered this but as i dont have a bath is it safe to have a quick shower untill the new prd arrives ??

We need to know which shower you have.

If when you switch off the shower at the main isolator and the shower keeps running then you have a faulty solenoid valve.

When you switch off the shower at the main isolator and the water stops running, then you have a faulty on/off switch or a faulty PCB or a micro switch that is sticking on.
