if i remove the prd how can i tell if it has blown, the water is coming out of the bottom of the shower unit not the clear plastic tube, thanks ash

There should be a small rubber ball inside, if not then there is usually something that causes it to blow, often a kink in the hose or the showerhead is blocked, so check this before fitting the new PRD.
