Thermal cut out

Thermal cut out was blown by something wrong with shower, any ideas or something common that causes this to happen.

The shower has overheated and as a safety device the TCO has cut off the power to the elements.

The usual cause of this is the shower head being blocked not allowing enough water through the unit and causing it to overheat, or a micro switch stuck in the on position keeping the elements energised all the time.
