Triton solenoid valve or why does no water come out of the shower?

Reviewed 11 years ago by Mr. David Unwin
Triton solenoids must have a limited lifespan because this is the third replacement in 18 years. The rest of the shower is still going strong and is in use every day several times a day.

When the shower failed to supply water I immediately suspected the solenoid valve (or actually just the solenoid) based on past experience. A quick check on the Shower Doctor website supplied the resistance readings for the coil and a check with my multimeter confirmed my initial diagnosis.

I ordered a new solenoid valve late on Monday night. By 0900 Tuesday morning I had received an e-mail informing me that my order had been processed and was ready for shipping. It arrived in the post on Wednesday morning. By Wednesday night the shower was back in full working order.

I can not fault you for speed of service every time which I have ordered something from yourselves.
