temperature erratic variation

After using shower at heating sw position 3 and flow 4, and then switching unit off for a short period ( 1- 2 mins), when unit is switched back on water temp initially becomes VERY hot, then fully cold after approx 5 sec. Required temp then only achieved in 20 secs.Faulty stabiliser valve??

Turn the shower temperature control from fully cold to fully hot. When you do this slowly there should be a gradual change in temperature and flow. At fully hot you should have not much more than a dribble coming from the hose, and on fully cold you should have a good strong flow. If you do not have this difference, or the flow or temperature is erratic, then you may have a faulty flow/stabilizer valve.

Also check the head and the hose are clear.
