Triton T4i Booster Shower Pump with thermostatic bar mixer

Hi. We need to increase the flow rate from our thermostatic bar shower mixer, which with hose & head fitted only gives 3 litres/min.

Trouble is, while hot is gravity fed from cw cistern/hw cylinder, cold supply is mains fed (at least it is from the taps). I know this is not within spec, but when set to cold, there is no increase in flow, so I wonder if there is a restrictor fitted in the cold supply to equalise pressures, allowing temp to run at max of 45 degrees.

Would it be permissible to use this pump with this installation please?

First thing to check is the filters which are usually inside the large nuts that connect the mixer to the wall there is also the possibility that flow restrictors are fitted in with these nuts.

Other than that the T40i would be a good soluition but it shouldn’t be fitted to the water mains.
