Intermittent pump working

Sometimes the pump works and sometimes not. The pump is connected to a Triton T80xr shower and I've checked and replaced the solenoid in the shower just in case as (it measured less than 3.5ohms).

The shower & pump is fed by gravity from the loft.

There is pressure at the inlet and outlet of the pump but a little bit reduced pressure (for some reason I can't work out why) - perhaps due to the length of pipe work and a couple of 90 deg bends? at the shower inlet.

I've checked the pump filter, the shower inlet filter, shower head for scaling etc. etc. but all seems fine.

Could this be a faulty flow switch - how can I tell? Can the flow switch be tested or bypassed before I spend money on a new switch? And if so how?

Any help would be appreciated.

It may be that the flow switch is becoming a little less sensitive, lift the shower head down of the bracket and see if it starts then.

You have done all the obvious things to check the pump so I am afraid it looks like you are going to have to buy a new pump.

I can’t really advise bridging out the flow switch in any case they have been discontinued.
