no hot water

the water was cut of this morning, is now back on again, but even though the red power light is on, the water is running cold. The water pressure is normal with no air blockage. Has the heating element gone through maybe someone trying to shower when the water was off ?

Would suspect the thermal cut out on top of the heating can may have gone open circuit so check for continuity . Replacement can be ordered online by clicking on this link.

Also check gauze filter in inlet to solenoid valve is clear.
