New shower runs cold. Help!

My Triton Jade3 shower stopped working properly last week for no apparent reason. I went to use it and had to turn it up to No 10 to get an decent heat but by doing this the pressure dropped.

I bought a brand news shower (Triton Excite 8.5kw) but this has exactly the same issue...it has been wired up as per instructions...

I'm at a loss what to do

Thethings to check first are.

1That the main valve coming into your house is fully open.

2Then check that the valve on the line to the shower is fully open.

Ifthese valves are not fully open then there may not be enough watergetting to your shower to open/close the safety device that allowsthe power through to the elements.

Alsocheck that your shower is connected to the water mains and you have aminimum of 1bar water pressure, although your pressure may normallybe good it can often drop dramatically first thing in the morningwhen everyone is showering.

Youcould give your local water authority a ring an ask them what yourwater pressure should be, they will probably say that the supply aminimum of 1bar (the minimumrequired to operate a shower)however press them and ask what it islikely to be first thing in the morning (when everybody is showering)

Have checked the main water supply, valve is fully open

Shower line valve is fully open

Showering in my house usually takes place in the evening,

I have another shower in the house which runs with no issues, so the question of pressure should not be an issue (i think)

I have contacted Triton, but they are going to charge £58 if the issue is not related to the shower itself.

An ideas would be really useful.

Thanks
