Solenoid resistance at 3.7 K-ohms but shower not switching on

Hi. My solenoid resistance is at 3.7 K-ohms, which I understand is correct, but the shower will not switch on. There is no dripping from the showerhead. Could the solenoid still be faulty even though the resistance is correct? Or is it likely to be solenoid valve assembly? Or Something else? Thanks.

Can you check and make sure that there is power getting tothe solenoid valve, it is just possible that you have a problem with theswitching assembly and there is no power getting to the solenoid.
