T80si takes time to warm up

The T80si shower was recently installed as a direct replacement for a Zante. The shower runs ok and turns off ok. However, if it is run again shortly afterwards, cold water comes out for about 1 minute before it warms up again to the previous temperature. Is this normal? It's a lot of wasted water when you're on a meter.

As the T80si is not a phased shut down unit when switched off the residual heat in the elements over heats the water in the tank and causes the thermal cut out to operate and it reuires the flow of cold water to reset before power is restored to the heating elements , this is quite normal.
