Hot and cold

I have studied existing questions/answers but do not feel I am certain my problem is identical to any already listed. Apologies if the question is a duplicate. When my T80XR shower is switched on it sometimes runs cold when it should be hot - but not always. I have noticed that turning the dial to a higher heat setting (8 or 9), the shower will often start to heat the water to the correct temperature (too hot for me!) so I slowly turn the dial back to my usual and comfortable setting. This works sometimes but, equally, the water can sometimes stop heating altogether again. Water flow rates seem fine and unchanged from earlier behaviour. BTW the revamped website is excellent - it's been a while since I've visited! I wish other appliances were served by such a practical and focused business!

Check that the inlet filter, head and hose are clear, and the inlet valve is fully open,if so,

forgetting about the temperature turn the shower from fully hot to fully cold at fully hot you should have not much more than a dribble coming from the hose and on fully cold you should have a good strong flow, if you do not have this difference then you may have a faulty flow/stabilizer valve.
