Solenoid Valve

Hi, I purchased and fitted a new triton shower, all was working fine until after 2 days where it began leaking from the the valve stem on which the solenoid sits? Swapped at shop, was just wondering what may have caused this? Is it simply a crack in the valve or just a failing seal? Just seems strange for a brand new fitting to leak here, or am I just unlucky? Regards

It maybe a crack in the valve that is causing the leak.

You may have just been unlucky to get one like this as it is unusual.
