Triton T80SI Repair or Replace
Question 1: Should I replace the part £42 or consider buying a new replacement shower unit?
The best fit compatible module recommended is the T80 Easi-Fit or T80Z Fast-Fit.
When fitted I remember how precisely I had to locate the pipe and electrical cable.
However, a colleague recently refitted a T80Si with a T80 and found the inlet pipe is located differently; the back plate is flush whereas there was a cavity for the electrical cable on the previous model; the overall dimensions have been altered so that even the fixings need re-drilling.
Question 2:
Therefore, would I be better of using a Triton T80si Manual Electric Shower Chrome 9.5kW: Product Code: 84112
The easi fit and fast fit are much the same, below are the two sets of installation guides

I suppose some of this depends on your existing pipe and cable entries.
Against that £42 for a relatively easy flow valve replacement, much to difficult for me to decide ....I guess it would depend on how “well used” you feel your existing shower is......
On reflection “I” would repair it but.........
