Triton T80si TCO

Hi,

I asked a question regarding the TCO about an hour ago and received an answer asking me to do some more test.

>your Answer: The next thing to do is loosen the earth connection onto the TCO and test the continuity again. Also check the top of the can where the TCO sits to see/ feel if this area is raised.

My response:

I have taken the new TCO off again and it still fails the Continuity test.

The top of the can is flat not raised.

Can the TCO be reset.. I notice that the old TCO when pushed at the bottom goes in but doesn't click, I tried the new one after taking it off and it clicks?

I have as a test bypassed the TCO by connecting both power cables to the input side of the TCO, the water heated up ok and so I assume this shows that the new TCO is also faulty.

Please advise

Regards

Bernie

You should never push the bottom of a TCO as this damages it and it will not work and will void the warranty.
