Triton Luca Thermostatic cartridge replacement-only half of it has come out

Trying to replace a Triton Luca thermostatic cartridge with a replacement from yourselves. When removing the old one only half of the cartridge will come out. The other half is stuck in the bar shower assembly. Looks like two halves of cartridge are screwed together and when removing unscrews from half of the cartridge left behind. Help how do I remove the half left in the shower?

You can try cutting a groove in the stuck part and using a flat screw driver try tapping it around to remove it.
