Power Surge?

Hi, Last night our shower whilst in use went really powerful on its own and then switched off ok. But the all of a sudden the motor started and kept running, even with the dial on off. Turning the dial turns the water on but then when put back to off the water stays on. The only way to stop this is to isolate the shower. We think we may have had a power surge when this happened. Any idea which spares I require. You help is much appreciated.

If when you switch off the shower at the main isolator and the shower keeps running then you have a faulty solenoid.

When you switch off the shower at the main isolator and the water stops running, then you have a faulty on/off switch or a faulty PCB that is sticking on.
