water keeps running from the shower head

Hi, im not sure if this is the exact model of shower as there is no info on the unit, but it looks the same.

The problem we are having is, when the shower is switched off, water is still running out from the shower head, it stops when you hang it up on the rail, but when u bring it down to the level of the unit, it just continues to run, as though it is still switched on.

Any advice would be much appreciated

Thanks Sharon

It needs a new solenoid valve http://www.showerdoc.com/shower-spares/triton/TRITO-82300430-Triton-Solenoid-Assembly---Power-Shower-82300430

If you have the non thermostatic version it may also be advisable to fit a new flow valve, on occasions parts of the flow valve disintegrate  these parts get caught in the solenoid and this is what causes it not to shut dow
