Triton TX7500i wires melted

Hi Shower was working fine up until it stopped heating up. Opened it up and all the wires are melted or burned out. Shower still works for cold water though we aren't using it now just in case. Assuming the whole thing needs to be replaced now or can it still be repaired? Must be 10+ old at least. Came here looking for replacement parts or a new TX7500i If replacement needed, what is a good replacement for this shower and can a homeowner do it themselves? Thanks

Burnt wires may be due to the connections being slack.

Given the age etc , it may be time to get the wiring checked and get a replacement shower as shown to the right of this link.
