Replace shower head

We have one of these showers and don't like the head. Is there a way to replace just the head with something better, preferably a raindrop style head. The pipe feeding the current head is horizontal, but most fixed heads have vertical fitting. Is it possible to get an adaptor, ie - 90 degree elbow, so I can fit a better shower head.

You maybe able to fit a different style head , but you would have to play
around with different fittings to find one that would match both parts.
