Triton Unichrome Shower Running Hot then Cold

Hi



Our shower is well over 5 years old and came with the house. It has always run hot and cold without the heating on, now it runs hot and cold all the time and is making a cranking noise when the hot water passes through.



I presume it is something to do with the thermostatic valve?



Please could you advise what parts might need replacing to fix the problem, or is it time for a new shower all together?

Is this on a combi boiler?

Also it may be worth checking all the filters, the other possibility is a faulty mixing valve, as the valve is fairly expensive it may be worth stripping the cartridge out of the valve and sending us a photo of the cartridge as we may be able to source the cartridge on it’s own.
