Help to identify problem

The water temperature is at a constant high temperature regardless of position of control. Is this a likely thermostatic valve problem. Other possibilities: cold flow blocked in pipes, or debris, or calcification, or checkflow valve problem. Or even an installation problem not set up properly (installer may have found it off-putting with a drenching from the overhead shower-head)

Yes the cold flow inlet filter could be blocked , or debris, calcification, or check flow valve problem.
The cartridge itself may be the cause of the problem. This is more likely.
