Temperature Issue

Hello, I have replaced both the valve plus o-rings and the thermostat capsule but cannot get hot water flowing through the shower. It is an exposed valve and the hot supply elbow heats up. I've removed the whole shower and tested the flow through the open pipe and through the elbow - both are fine but still no hot water through the valve itself. What am I doing wrong? Have also checked that the number 1 o-ring is in position. I'm stumped!

There is an "E" clip that goes over the spindle end and fits into a groove on the spindle.

This needs to be in the groove that is furthest away from you in order for the shower to work correctly.

Check that the spring , shuttle and thermostat are in the correct position as shown here, www.youtube.com/watch?time_continue=14&v=r9kK6FO6Ao8
