removal of non return valve

Hello, I have a 3/4 ultra thermostatic shower. how can I get to the non return valve, Do I need to take the housing off and unscrew the elbows or can I access them from the front of the elbows where there is an adjustment of the flow of water. thank you

The non returns are usually fitted in the area going into the body of the shower, so it will need to be remove to get to them.
