This question is regarding Ultra Twin Control Thermostatic Shower Valve - Shower Spares

shower only runs cold

I have replaced the thermostatic cartridge and set shower to hottest position but it still runs cold. None return vales seem ok. Could the problem be the flow control ceramic disc. Shower has been fine for last 7 years. I,m getting hot water to sink and bath. it is being run off combi boiler. It appears that there is only mains water coming through the shower as the boiler does not ignite. I would be grateful for your advise.

The shower in question is a Twin Control Thermostatic Shower Valve.

If the boiler is not igniting then there is no demand at the valve.

Check the hot inlet to see if there is water there and that the inlet valve to that side is open.
