Hudson Reed SINASF issues

Hi guys I have had several issues with my Hudson Reed Dual Thermostat 3/4' shower valve. Current only issue is it will barley get warm. It has always been finicky with temperature for the 12 years I have had it anyway. Originally It leaked horribly, I tracked it down to a bad casting which I repaired. Originally to repair the leak I bought a new cartridge which came with new rubber washers and clips. When that didn't work I looked farther to find the water had etched channels that the rubber could not seal. Now that I have repaired that and put it back together for the second time, I cannot get the water warm enough for the shower. Water supply and heater is fine. One thing I did not get was a new thermostat because at the time of the leak, I had hot water. I did a test on the thermostat and got only a small amount of movement. So I suspect these parts can actually fail. Also after watching your video on the valve, I noticed that the spring assembly is pressed into the housing on mine. I don't know how to remove this should I need to replace that or the washer. Hudson Reed told me these never fail and they don't supply that part. Sounds to me like I need to replace the thermostat. What do you think?

The shuttle part has an internal spring that is fixed inside. There is no replacement for that.

However, there is a spring that goes at the back of the shuttle when you are putting things back together.
If the thermostat moves about 2-3mm out at the top ( rubber end) then it is fine.

Greasing the internals is a must, as is fitting the "E" clip/circlip, in the furthest away groove on the spindle shaft.

You may also need to change the number 1 "O" ring , www.showerdoc.com/ultra-seal-and-circlip-service-kit-for-dual-control-thermostatic-valves-sasfor, if the temperature is not correct.
