Which part?

Our Bathstore exposed thermostatic shower is 14 years old. For the last year or 2 we have struggled with mixing the water to the correct temperature, and we are the point now where the children cannot use the shower. Quite often, you can hear the surge of the cold water when you turn the handle, and we have to try and set it at a point where you cant hear the cold water running. If we attempt to alter the temp. during a shower, we simply dont know whether it will get too hot or too cold. Please can you advise which part/s we can change. Photo attached. It feels like a ceramic casing on the thermostat, with the number 0370 3C 062 stamped on the bottom, but cannot tell where the number sequence starts. Thankyou
