Not pumping

I have found that the pump has stopped pumping It makes a electrical noise when the water is on but is not pumping

From your description of the fault I think that the capacitor may be faulty.

Normally when a capacitor is faulty you will see signs of overheating it may be swollen or distorted with the heat.

Remember to switch of the power before removing the cover plate and to short out the terminals on top of the capacitor before touching them.
