Watermill PR50D whistling

a high pitched whistling sound whilst operating - should I be worried and are there any maintenance routines I should be doing - just moved into the house Thanks in advance

This could be a faulty impeller or faulty motor shaft that is causing this. Depending on the age of the pump it maybe better to replace it.
