WASP 66 pump

When the shower is switched off just after use, the pump seems to come on, on its own and runs for about 6 seconds with no water coming out anywhere then turns its self off. The unit is 5 years old and I am not sure of the life expectancy. Works fine when its on but do you think it is on its way to failure?

Is the shower valve that is run from the pump experiencing any of the following problems?

The shower valve leaking from the shower
The shower not switching off properly
The shower dripping from the head when switched off?

If so then this can be factor for the pump to come on.

NO.. None of your points below are happening. This morning it turned itself on and ran erratically for about 3 mins then went off and came back on 10 mins later so I had to turn the pump off at the mains electric switch!!

If there is no leak in the system, then you may have a faulty PCB , reed switch or sticking actuator that is causing this problem.
