Gulper 220 shower waste pump

what is the cause of the water not being taken away quick enough, there in no blockage and cannot see any split in the diaphram, is there any adjustment, this is not a new pump could it be wear and tear?

There is no adjustment,if the pump sounds like it is working at its normal speed then it almost has tobe a blockage somewhere.
