Pump

I have a Whale Gulper 200 and it intermittently stops all you can hear is a slow whirring sound do I need a new pump?

With out hearing the noise it is difficult to say what the problem is It could be a split diaphragm or it may have become disconnected from the motor. the problem is you will have to strip the motor and pump unit down to find the fault and this will put the shower out of action, perhaps the best solution would be just to replace the pump.
